How To Generate $2,000 Every Month From A $4.95 A Month Consumer Helpline”

At my Workshop, I had several participants ask me more about my “Consumer Helpline” I include in every ad.

This is a number that the reader can call to find out more about what you sell. The caller doesn’t have to talk to a live person, so there is no fear in calling. The cost; including an 800 number is just $4.95 a month. The company’s web address is www.voicenation.com. It’s a voicemail service that has unlimited recording time on your message. Mine is about 6 minutes. You can listen to mine by calling 1-888-642-0327.

My ad says :

”What Vacuum Is Best For You? Call Our Toll-Free Recorded Consumer Information Helpline. 1-888-642-0327. This Call Is Free To You”

It helps to record the message in your own voice. It gives the listener a feeling that they know you when they come in your store. Every month, we get 3 or 4 high end vacuum cleaner sales from callers of this Help-line.

When the ad reader calls.. here’s what they hear;

“Hello this is Claude Whitacre owner of the Sweeper Store thanks for calling our free consumer helpline. In the next few minutes we’ll give you information that will help you make a better choice in your next vacuum cleaner that you buy. As you're listening if you have a question please call our store at 330 345 2111 at anytime. We’ll be happy to answer any questions for you. Now here are 5 questions to ask before you buy a vacuum cleaner. The first question you should ask is which is really better one that takes a bag or a bag less vacuum? Well originally all vacuums were bag less. Then paper nags were introduced to dramatically cut down on the dust. The two main reasons that people ask about bag less is one they want to save money on bags and two they want less dust. Well bag less vacuums need a HEPA filter to stop the dirt. These filters are very effective they also need to be changed at least once a year and more often if you have small children or pets and they aren’t cheap either. They are 29 to 59 dollars each. And now it’s impossible to spend that much for paper bags. So paper bags are cheaper. If you want less dust I have a question for you. Do you have trashcans at home? Do you use trashcan liners? Why? Well because it’s far more sanitary when you throw out the liner instead of sort of dumping the can with all the dust kind of being thrown in the air. It’s the same with vacuum cleaners. When you're dumping the canister dust flies everywhere. It’s a lot more sanitary to have a well sealed paper liner that you can dispose of. It keeps the inside of the vacuum cleaner clean it keeps your air clean. Almost all the bags we sell are micron-filtration bags to keep the air dust free and the inside of your sweeper clean. This help keeps odors down, especially pet odors. Want to know more stop into the Sweeper Store. Now the second question you should ask is should I buy an upright or a canister? Well uprights and canisters are two different tools for two different jobs. Uprights are made specifically for wall to wall carpet. Their motors are designed not so much for suction but to turn the brush and pick up the dirt. Canisters usually have more suction and their used more for bare floors, cars, furniture, and steps. A canister with a power nozzle is really the best of both worlds the power of the canister and the agitating action of an upright. These usually cost a lot more than either the upright or the canister because they have two motors instead of just one and an expensive electrified hose to connect the motorized power nozzle to the main tank. Also the motors are usually better quality than the uprights of most manufactures. Wouldn’t it be great if you would find a vacuum cleaner with the power of a canister motor with the convenience of an upright? We have them at the Sweeper Store. Want to know more? Call the Sweeper Store at 330 345 2111. The next question you may ask is do you need a HEPA filter? Well HEPA or H-E-P-A stands for high efficiency particulate air filter. All bag less vacuums have to have a HEPA filter to keep all the dust from blowing back into your room when you vacuum. Most of the bags we sell are micro lined which means they trap over 99.7% of all the dust that goes into the bag. The best vacuums out there in our opinion are vacuums that have a disposable micro lined bag and then a series of filters to keep the dust down and keep the inside of your vacuum cleaner clean. The best designed machines again in our opinion have a micro lined bags before the motor to keeping the motor fan free of dirt, rocks, pine needles, sox, pennies, etc. this keeps the motor clean and undamaged. Want to know more stop into the Sweeper Store at 2799 Cleveland Rd. Wooster. The next question some people ask is do you need attachments? Well what kind of attachments do you need? If your ever going to use your vacuum cleaner to clean drapes furniture your car or truck carpeted steps mattresses or ceiling fans you need attachments. Our customers have for years used extra long hoses that they’ve gotten from us 15 ft long to help them reach all their steps with out moving their vacuum cleaner. Also they love cleaning out their car with out having to move the vacuum cleaner to each individual door. Some vacuums have a lever to disconnect the roller brush from the motor and that’s on the uprights to be able to sweep their floors. The problem is without any kind of brushing at all with out any kind of brush contact with the floor you can’t get between the wood slats or in the crevasses of the designs of a linoleum or tile floor. What we recommend is a separate bare floor tool with full brushes preferably natural fiber to dislodge any grit. With the proper brush the bare floor after vacuuming will feel smooth with no gritty feeling. If you have pets that shed the best tool to use to dislodge the hair from your furniture is the brush on the upholstery tool it’s the brushing action not the suction that gets the hair. Also a dusting brush with natural fibers doesn’t scratch the TV and computer screens when you vacuum them. Want to know more? Stop into the Sweeper Store. The next question that people ask is the vacuum cleaner easy to push and should I get self propelled? We get that asked quiet a lot. The most expensive upright vacuums are self propelled. They are expensive because you are paying for the transmission on the vacuum cleaner. This also usually adds about 3 to 7 pounds to the wait the vacuum cleaners self propelled for only one reason. They’re hard to push. The reason that they’re hard to push is the height adjustment to help keep the roller from burring itself in the carpet. If the roller is set too low a partial seal between the nozzle and your carpet. This cuts off the airflow that carries the dirt into the bag. It also slows down the roller brush speed so that the belt will stretch and there is almost no deep cleaning taking place. If you have a vacuum cleaner with a height adjustment you should set the height to each level of carpet in your home. In our option the easiest and bets solution is a vacuum with a free floating adjustable nozzle that way the brush separates the fibers of the carpet and you don’t cut off the airflow. The best vacuum cleaners with a free floating head are still self-propelled. Would you like to know more? We have a full selection of vacuum cleaners that are easy to push at the Sweeper Store. Stop in or call us at 330 345 2111. Now at the Sweeper Store we stock over 135 different models of vacuum cleaners. We have a stock service center at your disposal. We’re here from 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Saturday and mention you called our consumer helpline and we’ll give you 12 free vacuum bags with any vacuum purchase. Your Survival Guide to Ad Reps Who Don't Know Any Better!, January 23, 2010

By Gloria Steinman "Obsessive Compulsive Book Re... (Sandusky, OH)

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

If you have ever been approached by an ad rep, you know the feeling of confusion and frustration. They tell you how much your business will increase and how you will get SOOO many new customers. Then you run the ad, nothing happens, and the rep comes back and tells you to run it again to see if it works next time. Surely if you continue to run the ad SOMETHING will happen!

After months of spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars, many business will throw up their hands and proclaim "ADVERTISING JUST DOESN'T WORK!"

 But what you don't know, and to be honest the ad rep doesn't know it either, is that the simple act of purchasing an ad does not mean you will get a response!

There are tried and true "rules" to advertising and Claude's book is very good at laying those "rules" out in an easy to understand way. It is not the last book you should ever read on advertising but it can be used to IMMEDIATELY improve the response to YOUR advertising!

 I highly recommend this book to any small business that operates on a local level.

The $20 bucks you'll spend (at Amazon.com) on this book will be well worth it and if you actually put some of Claude's principles to work you could see a return on investment worth thousands of times the cost of this book! Claude has spent 10 years in the school of harsh reality and has tested and tweaked these methods for the survival of his own business.

Claude Whitacre is My Hero!

 An Incredibly Valuable Book!, January 19, 2010

By Mike McGroarty

The Unfair Advantage is an excellent book that every small business owner should have on their desk. Not their bookshelf, on the desk, and the pages should be dogeared from constantly refering to this book. All businesses need to and should advertise aggressively and this book really does give you an unfair advantage by teaching you how to craft your advetisements, and where and where not to place those advertisements. Advertising that doesn't work is expensive. Advertising that REALLY works is libertating and will take your business and your life to the next level and beyond.
