”When To Advertise For Greatest Results”
When should you advertise? When your customers want to buy and are best able to buy. Wealthy people have learned how to keep some of their money. They will see you pretty much whenever they want to. But most people live on 100% of their income. In other words, after bills are paid, they spend their money until it’s gone. Then they get their next check, and it starts over again.
People will tend to buy when they feel like they have extra money. This is right after they get paid, usually. Most people get paid either twice a month or every Friday.
We run our Radio ad on Thursday night, All day Friday, and Saturday morning. Why? Because this is either just before, or just after most people get paid. Amazingly, having $500 in your pocket makes you feel like you have money. Having it in Mutual Funds...does not. We also only run radio ads on Saturday until noon, and we close at 2PM. We’re closed Sunday.
Do you have an offer that appeals to older or retired customers? Then I would advertise it right at the beginning of the month. They just received their monthly check, and are raring to go! We came to this conclusion after tracking our monthly sales. The first week of the month usually has the strongest sales, then there is another surge at the middle of the month, and a dip towards the end. It happens every month. You may think “Well, then we should advertise during the Dips! That’s when we need to advertise” . That would be wrong. You advertise when it’s the most profitable. So we “Bunch” our ads at the times when people tend to get paid. Food for thought. |
