How To Give The World’s Greatest Sales Presentation For Only 49 Cents As I may have told you before, we give away free annual tune-ups on our high end vacuum cleaners. We also let them borrow our commercial carpet cleaners free..forever. There is a benefit to this that we didn’t see until a couple of years after we started the practice. High end customers coming in the store for free services are happy grateful customers. And if I happen to be giving a product demonstration when they come in, I always ask the person coming in “What kind of vacuum cleaner do you have?” and “Do you like it?” Of course, they always say “Yes!” and gush over the vacuum cleaner. They do it out of a combination of genuine like for the vacuum and a sense of obligation to me. This now happens more than half the time I’m giving a demonstration. And I’ve missed the sale in one of those instances...ever. I told you this to show the incredible power of testimonials. The best testimonials are live, at the scene. The next best are recorded.
I’m duplicating the CDS now for 20 minutes of testimonials. The CDs cost me $495 per 1,000. So for 50 cents I can give a “Be-Back” a CD (I’m putting a $19.95 value on the label) and the can listen to it in the car. We currently get about 66% of our “Be-Backs” to actually come back. I wouldn’t be surprised if this CD shot that figure up to 90%. This CD also has my recorder “Consumer Help Line”. That’s 6 minutes of me talking about our products. |
