How to use “Psst! I’ve Got A Secret” in your marketing
Want to really get your reader’s attention? Start the ad with “Pssst…” Now everything they read from that point on will be heard (in their mind) as a lowered hushed tone. A secret between you & them. Another way to convey the sense of confidentiality, is to use (parenthesis) . Whatever is in parenthesis sounds (again in the reader’s mind) like a personal aside.
One of the cutest (and most effective) ones I’ve seen is “Listen closely…” Not “read this” but ““Listen closely……” It forces the reader to envision someone talking to them. If 1,000 people read that ad, I can picture 100 slightly leaning forward as they read...because they are listening. |
