“The Voice-Mail Blasts Re-visited”

I told about these voicemail messages that I have prospects call, that sells them on coming into my store. These voicemail messages do most of the selling for me.

Here’s the ad;

““Lightweight Vacuum Cleaner Picks Up Pet hair In One Pass! Filter Your Air As You Vacuum Your Carpet. Call our Toll Free 24 hour Recorded Consumer Helpline at 555-5555 to find out about this new 8 lb. Lightweight Vacuum”

(I took the number out, because I’m changing it to an 800 number. It was a local number)

Here’s the voicemail message.

How much business did this idea generate? Not much. So far (two weeks) we have sold 3 high end vacuum cleaners at $429 each and 2 heaters for $595 each...wait...wait….that’s

$2,180 in sales over two weeks for a real cost of $140 (for the short display ads) and less than $20 in voicemail costs.
