“Why You Shouldn’t Lower Your Retail Prices In This Recession” I’m not talking about “the principle of the thing”, I’m talking about a hard reality. If you lower your prices “temporarily”” to help stimulate sales, it will be very hard to increase them back to their normal levels later. After you reduce your prices, that becomes “The Price” in the minds of your customers...and worse...the minds of your employees. It’s far better to offer a different, lower prices alternative. “Can you do something about the price?” can be answered; “Sure, let me show you a slightly lower priced model, then you can decide which is right for you. OK?” |
