“The #1 Reason People Buy From Your Small Business (And Not A Small Business Competitor) An How To Profit From It” Of all the things that Bill Glazer (a mentor of mine) teaches…..and everything that I teach...there is one thing I use from him that is a direct swipe. The top five reasons people chose to buy from your small business. Confidence Quality Selection Service Price Of course, the list was much longer, but you get the idea. Confidence was listed number one. Confidence in the dealer; that the dealer would take tare of the customer after the purchase. Confidence that the dealer was treating the consumer fairly. I want you to think of the retail giants (Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Lowes...the leading dealer in your niche). Think of what they did when they were tiny tiny start-ups...that propelled them to become giant. The tendency is to think “Because they bought from China” or “Because they paid slave wages”. No, I mean when they first opened their doors. Most store policies stay the same as businesses grow. One thing they all have in common is that “Customer Satisfaction” is way at the top of the list. I know many retailers that refuse to give refunds. Ever. Years ago, I was one of them. Does that inspire confidence in a customer about to buy from you? Never. No matter how we justify it...customers don’t like it. Did you know that there are retailers that won’t give a price over the phone? They justify it by saying that the customer will come into the store...and that gives the retailer a chance to sell them. Think a minute. If you called any retailer...and asked for a price....and they refused to give it over the phone...would you still go to that store? The answer (after an uncomfortable pause) is “No”. Nobody would. |
