Advertising and Marketing Ideas to Create Phenomenal Profits In YOUR Small Business

“Half Page VS A Full Page Print Advertisement”

I’m talking about direct mail ads. But the idea will apply to any media. If it’’s radio, just think of “30 seconds VS a minute”.

Here is how to think of the space; You will need some space at the top of the ad to have your headline (NOT the name of your business). You will need some space at the bottom to put your business name, and contact information. The part that’s in the middle is the space that you use to sell your offer (or offers)

In a standard sheet of 81/2 X 11 inches, a half sheet may only allow you a few inches of selling space. In a full page, that may expand out to  8 or 9 inches of selling space.

So in an ad space that is twice as large, you may be able to say four times as much.

There is also the benefit that your ad will be easier to see, and find.

Bigger is better.

Our full page ads out pull our half page ads by far more than twice as much. Food for thought.

A friend once asked me, “Claude, how long should my radio commercial be?”

I said  “Tell everything the customer needs to hear to really want what you sell. When you are finished talking...that’s how long the commercial should be.”

“Rounded Borders Around The Ad”

A Gold Member showed me this idea. If you round the corners of your ad, you accomplish a few things;
your ad stands out more.
If your ad is above or below another ad that is the same width, your ad will appear as separated from the other ad. Ads that are the same with, and that are stacked, will appear as all the same ad to the reader who is skimming the ads.
Rounded corners (especially with dashes) appear as though you should cut out the ad. That way people save the ad, and it increases response.
